Jay-ZWhile it might not have been the rumoured wedding, Beyoncé Knowles still made boyfriend Jay-Z’s birthday weekend one to remember as she spent $3million on a three day long celebration for the rapper.

Following the premiere of her new film Dreamgirls in New York last week, Beyonce reportedly chartered two planes to fly their 20 guest to the island of St Martin in the Caribbean.

According to the New York Daily News, the guests were then taken out to a 270-foot long luxury yacht more off the coast for two days of celebrations and fine dining. The party also had two helicopters at their disposal if they fancied a trip back to dry land for anything.

Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, turned 37 last Monday (4th December).
