Jennifer Lopez’s recently revealed close friendship with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes may be explained after reports claiming that Jennifer has converted to Scientology.

The New York Post’s Page Six has revealed that Jennifer and fellow TomKat wedding guest Jim Carrey have both signed up with the Church recently.

A source told the newspaper that Jim is taking the introductory and beginner’s courses at the moment while Jennifer, whose best friend Leah Remini is already a devout follower, has started talking about the religion to other friends: “She has started using Scientology phrases and explains the church to other people.”

Jim’s spokesperson denied that Jim was taking classes while Jennifer’s representative had no comment to make about the rumours.
