Billie Piper has reportedly split from boyfriend Amadu Sowe after two years together.

Billie met Amadu, a law student, shortly after splitting from husband of three years Chris Evans in 2004 and she wrote in her autobiography earlier this year that she hoped they’d be “in each other’s lives for a very long time.”

However, according to the News of the World, she’s told close friends that they’ve split up after “growing apart”.

A friend relayed to the newspaper that she said: “It’s really sad. I’m upset but it had just run its course. I’m trying to get on with things but it’s difficult.”

The friend added: “It was a bit of a shock. We thought they were going to be together for ever.”

“They got on so well so we’re sure they’ll still be friends.”

“When Amadu came on the scene after Chris, they developed a totally different kind of close relationship. But sometimes things just don’t work out.”
