Victoria Beckham offered Scientology film role?

Victoria Beckham’s friendship with Tom Cruise has reportedly landed her a role in one of his forthcoming movies.

According to the Daily Star, Tom is producing a film about the beliefs of the Church of Scientology and has cast Victoria in the role of a Thetan bride after being impressed by her “comic genius”.

A source told the newspaper that Victoria is “thrilled” to have been offered the part: “Victoria is really hoping to make a go of it in Hollywood. This could be the perfect start for her, with good pal Tom Cruise in charge.”

Gee, what a surprise. Tom casts his BFF who also seems to have an interest in scientology, from the sudden friendship. It’s like a boss hiring his/her friend for a position, despite complete lack of qualifications. I guess Tom is not interested in helping his wife’s acting career! Seems Tom hasn[t gotten the message we are sick of him shoving scientology down our throats. He really isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed! What a pity!

First of all, Fametastic, realize that you’re quoting a sleazy tabloid. Check your story, check your sources.

Secondly, “thetan” in Scientology lingo just means “soul” or “spirit” – it has nothing to do with aliens.

Third, Tom Cruise is not trying to recruit anyone. He’s only talked publicly about his (my) religion when asked by the press.

Fourth: Scientology is NOT “a religion of mad rich people.” Millions of regular people are Scientologists. My wife and I have been Scientologists for over a decade. It is not about the kooky ridiculous stuff that you read on silly Internet pages, or what the media distorts. It is simply about improving yourself and making a difference for the better in the world around you.

Stop trashing what you don’t understand.

This is the sole reason why hollywood has cooked up so many crap films for so long – actors/actresses are purely picked for being friends with (or sleeping with) the director or are rich kids with ready prepared contacts. A long time ago actors actually trained hard for their jobs and worked their way up through theatre first. Just ask Samuel Jackson who did this and is an excellent actor – he will tell you what he thinks of these hang ons!

He’s an old has-been now, move on, get over it.

Paramount got well shot of him because of his unpredictable strange behaviour. Yes he was good years ago, but now he’s lost the plot.

they’re off to america – whoopeee! we’re rid of them at last – hope she eats lots of burgers & puts on a bit of weight.

I feel sorry for their children, it must be very unsettling for them to be carted all over the world just when they start putting down roots, learning the language, making friends it all changes again, not ideal circumstances for creating a happy childhood but that’s what happens when you put money before everything else
