• Kylie Minogue will not play at Glastonbury next year as rumoured because she’s too busy with other touring commitments. Kylie pulled out of Glastonbury 2005 after being diagnosed with breast cancer in May of that year and earlier this year festival founder Michael Eavis said he was “really hopeful” she would play 2007 instead. However, 2007’s organiser Emily Eavis has now said: “I think if she was going to do Glastonbury, she’d rework her show and I don’t think it’s going to be possible in that time frame.”
  • Mel Gibson has laughed off the allegations that he fathered a daughter in Australia 29 years ago. Carmel Sloane revealed plans recently to force Mel to undergo a DNA test to check whether he is her father as her mother believes. Mel’s spokesperson has now said that the story at the weekend was the first Mel had heard of the issue: “Never heard of her or this matter. Why, at 29, someone would come forth… what’s to stop anyone from claiming this?”
  • Eminem has divorced his wife Kimberly Mathers for the second time. The couple, who had previously been married between 1999 and 2001 and have an 11 year old daughter together, married again in January this year but filed for divorce less than three months later. The divorce was finalised at the Macomb County Circuit Court in Michigan yesterday. Chief Judge Antonio P Viviano told the Detroit Free Press, the couple “conducted themselves with dignity and respect” and they have agreed to share custody of their daughter, Hailie.
