Demi MooreDemi Moore has revealed she is delighted that she’s remained on such good terms with ex-husband Bruce Willis after their separation in 1998 and she loves that Bruce gets on well with her new husband Ashton Kutcher too.

She told the Mirror recently: “Bruce is a wonderful father. He’s present and he’s involved. I feel so unbelievably fortunate to have a relationship with our whole family.”

“It is in a very different form than the traditional, but I feel that my children have a father who is present, so they don’t need somebody to replace him. But they also have somebody who loves them, guides them and who has a different perspective and is incredibly wise.”

“We spend all our holidays together and if Bruce wants to stop by and have dinner, he can just call and come by. I don’t think it is unique. I think it is something we can all do when we place our children as the priority.”

She also told the newspaper that she consciously decided to have a break from her career after her initial split from Bruce to concentrate on bringing up the children just in case things got awkward between them: “Whenever there’s a divorce in a family, it can be very difficult for the children.”

“I knew if I wasn’t with them they could have bigger problems than normal teens. I wasn’t retiring from acting, I figured I’d do it again when I could.”

Aside from a cameo in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and a role in 2000’s Passion of the Mind, Demi had an eight year break from Hollywood but returned to the limelight this year in Hard Light and Bobby.

She added: “Now work has become important again because my children were starting to ask if I was ever going to work again.”

“I’m really happy to be back.”
