Bono

  • U2 frontman Bono has been awarded an honorary knighthood, according to the British Embassy in Dublin. A spokesperson for the embassy revealed on Saturday: “The British Embassy in Dublin takes great pleasure in announcing that Her Majesty The Queen has appointed Bono to be an honorary Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in recognition of his services to the music industry and for his humanitarian work.”
  • You’d have thought Elizabeth Hurley would be used to being surrounded by paparazzi at every step now but the attention got the better of her this week. Liz was flying back to Mumbai from Maharana Pratap airport in Udaipur, western India but as she was checking in and talking to security officials at a checkpoint, she was surrounded by photographers - who she promptly told to “f*ck off”.
  • Cameron Diaz has revealed she couldn’t face having kids just yet because she wouldn’t want them to disrupt her sleep. She said recently: “I’m not at that place in my life right now - I like my sleep [too much]. That’s why I don’t want a baby right now.”
