• It’s sometimes good to have a lot of vices - it makes picking New Year’s Resolutions easier. Charlotte Church, who gave up smoking for 2006, has decided to add to her no-swearing pledge by reducing her junk food intake too. She said recently: “I eat too many sweets, fizzy drinks, pizza and other rubbish. I do eat fruit and stuff too, but just far too much crap with it.”
  • Despite appearing in the new film Night at the Museum, Ricky Gervais has revealed he has no intention of becoming a great diverse actor because he doesn’t like “serious roles”: “I’m never tempted to broaden my range. It’s difficult enough to concentrate on acting, let alone whether the accent is okay. I’m English, that’s it. I don’t do accents and no wigs.”
  • Christina Aguilera believes people shouldn’t be constrained by strict sexual definitions when it comes what they find attractive. She revealed in a recent magazine interview: “We should all be allowed to enjoy whatever we enjoy. Women are beautiful beings and I often find the sight of a naked female more arousing than a naked man.”
