• Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey have finally agreed their financial settlement, six months after their divorce was finalised. The couple jointly earned $36million during their three and a half year marriage - with Jessica earning the vast majority of it - but without a pre-nuptial agreement, the money could have seen that divided equally between the two of them. Under the new agreement, Nick will receive less than the potential $18million but “significantly more” than the $1.5million Jessica originally offered him.
  • Rod Stewart, Hugh Laurie and Coronation Street’s Johnny Briggs are amongst the celebrities granted honours in the New Year Honours list. Rod has been made a CBE for 35 years in the music industry while Johnny will be an MBE for playing Mike Baldwin in the soap for the same amount of time. T4 presenter June Sarpong has also been made an MBE for broadcasting and charity while Hugh Laurie will be an OBE for services to acting.
  • A Spice Girls reunion might be out of the question but Victoria Beckham has reportedly being trying to cheer up Melanie Brown by joking that their kids should form a supergroup. According to the People newspaper, Victoria has told Melanie they’ll leave space in the “Spice Kids” for Mel’s new baby. Mel’s baby, due in the spring, will be the sixth offspring of the former band.
