Mike TysonMike Tyson has been charged with one count of narcotic drug possession after he was stopped in Arizona for a driving offence.

Mike was pulled over in the early hours of Friday morning after failing to pause at a stop sign and almost crashing into a sheriff’s vehicle on the way home from a nightclub.

Mike told the arresting officer that he is a cocaine addict and was carrying bags of cocaine at the time of his arrest. In his formal report, the officer noted: “I observed a white powder substance on the center console of the vehicle, Mike was wiping the dash off as I approached.”

“Mike admitted to possessing bags of cocaine and said he uses anytime he can get his hands on it.”

The officer found: “two bags of a white powder substance … in [Mike’s] back left pocket. In addition a bag was located on the driver seat in a Marlboro cigarettes pack.”

Subsequent tests revealed Mike was “under the influence of a depressant, stimulant and cannabis.”

Mike appeared in front of a judge later on Friday and while charged, was released without bail. As part of the terms of release, he will have to undergo frequent drugs and alcohol tests and must not leave Arizona until his trial.
