The reasons behind Pete Doherty’s sudden return from Thailand at the start of the month and his admittance to rehab earlier this week are now a lot clearer: a video has emerged showing the Babyshambles frontman injecting himself with cocaine just days after his commitment ceremony to Kate Moss.

The Sun has published a series of photos from the video that show Pete surrounded by drugs paraphernalia and injecting himself while on the phone to someone, believed to be Kate Moss.

According to the newspaper, the video was filmed in a hostel room by Australian backpacker Jess Lea. Jess had spotted Pete at a chemist’s where he was buying needles and syringes and she invited him up to the room she shared with two female friends.

Jess has revealed she saw Pete injecting himself three times between 1.30am-4am: “It was a bit mind-blowing. He asked us if we minded. Initially we were like, ‘OK, go for it’, but as time went on we began to get nervous.”

Pete then asked to use Jess’s phone to call Kate: “Pete kept telling us Kate was paranoid and wanted to know where he was and who the girls he was with were. He kept telling her there were no girls.”

“She did seem quite p*ssed off, with him constantly pleading, ‘What’s wrong? I love you.’ After one conversation his mood changed. He was quite upset.”

Eventually Jess tried to encourage Pete to go back to his villa but he couldn’t remember where he was staying: “He knew it was near a club called the Bob Marley café on the other side of Patong beach so we decided to take him there.”

“When we got him downstairs, he asked the man on reception where he could score some heroin. Then he went up to every taxi driver asking if they could score him some drugs.”

“I sent Kate a text reading, ‘Dropped Peter off at the Bob Marley café. He’s a bit out of sorts’. That’s the last we saw of him.”

Pete arrived back in the UK earlier than expected after the New Year’s break, blaming Kate’s annoyance at a fight with a taxi driver.

Josh Hartnett has confirmed that he has separated from Scarlett Johansson.

The pair were believed to have split in November last year after a two year relationship but despite rumours linking Josh to Sienna Miller - and Scarlett to Justin Timberlake and more recently to Mark Wahlberg, neither party has previously commented on the end of their relationship.

Speaking in an interview with the Mirror, Josh described their break-up as “really painful”.

“It was difficult spending so much time apart with all our different commitments and both of us flying all over the world.”

“At the end of the day, we’re just ordinary people and it didn’t work.”

A source close to the actor added: “Josh was gutted when he and Scarlett split - he thought she was really special and felt they might last the distance. But the pressure just got too much and when they saw each other they’d row as they were both so exhausted.”

“Scarlett was very much a one-off. She was independent, feisty and outgoing - everything he wanted. But the relationship just didn’t work out.”

“It’s taken a while but he’s getting over it now - he’s just immersing himself in work.”

Britney Spears has reportedly offered Kevin Federline $25million as a divorce settlement but Kevin turned it down.

According to Star, Britney made the offer recently but with the condition that Kevin doesn’t fight for custody of their two sons, Sean and Jayden.

A source close to Kevin told the magazine: “Kevin says that Britney offered him $10 million to walk away from their marriage and to relinquish custody of their kids, but he just laughed. Then she came back with $20 million which he turned down too.”

“Now he says she’s offering a whopping $25 million, and that’s her final offer. He told her to take a hike! He loves his two little boys, and there’s no way he’s going to disappear from their lives.”

Victoria Beckham has reportedly decided against using super-thin models for the promotion of her denim range in order to send out a more positive image to young girls.

Victoria is frequently attacked by the media and other celebrities for her skinny physique and according to an inside source, she doesn’t want her fashion line to receive the same criticism.

The source told the Sun recently: “Victoria wants to give out a positive image that you don’t have to be ultra skinny to look good. Many of the models on the catwalk make young girls feel insecure about their own bodies.”

“Victoria doesn’t want to be accused of giving young girls a complex about their image and putting pressure on them to be as skinny as her.”
