• Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams are reportedly having relationship problems after a fight at the start of the month. Heath was spotted on his own at Teddy’s in Los Angeles on Valentine’s Day while Michelle was in New York for Fashion Week and when asked about their relationship, notoriously private Michelle refused to comment. A source revealed: “They had a huge fight, and they were not speaking.” Another source added that they made amends to attend the Independent Spirit Awards together at the weekend.
• Michael Jackson has denied the rumours that he is planning to tour with other members of his family. Michael’s spokeperson told Access Hollywood: “Mr. Jackson has been presented numerous proposals, several of which include performing in Las Vegas. [He] is currently reviewing and evaluating each proposal. He does not believe that he is under any time constraint for making his decisions. Therefore, reports that he has ‘been unsuccessful in finding a Las Vegas casino for his show, resulting in his having to turn to his family’ are false.”
• Gavin Henson bought Charlotte Church a new puppy for her 21st birthday last week - a terrier called Frankie. The couple already have three dogs and are thinking of moving to a new, more dog-friendly, home. Charlotte’s mum Maria told Reveal magazine: “Gavin’s already bought her cars and a grand piano, so none of us knew what to expect. Charl was so excited.”

Beth Ditto has described Victoria Beckham as a “total tool” because she uses her skinniest to get attention.

The Gossip frontwoman told the Sun recently: “Posh Spice is an absolute joke.”

“In the 90s she did all that Girl Power s**t, then she realised being thin got her attention. She’s just a total tool.”

“She thought: ‘This is how women get attention, be thin and have opinions only about clothes and men.’ That’s bulls**t. And if I met her I would tell her.”

Beth was equally annoyed that supermodel Kate Moss is in the running against her for the “Sexiest Female” award at Thursday’s NME Awards: “I think it’s ridiculous she’s nominated for an award in the NME. It’s not the New Model Express.”

“It should be about music. For Kate to be up for anything to do with music is absurd.”

“I think the world needs positive influences. Role models for these kids should be people who have a strong place in the music industry as an artist not a sexy woman.”

Heather Mills has annoyed television network bosses by demanding that she is only referred to as ‘Heather Mills‘ during her appearance on Dancing with the Stars and not ‘Lady Heather McCartney’ as she is entitled to call herself.

A source told the Sun: “Legally, Paul can’t stop Heather from using his name. She is entitled to call herself ‘Lady’ until the day they divorce.”

“But Heather is calculating. If she used Paul’s name to earn money, he could claim that half of it was thanks to him.”

“It was a bombshell for ABC. Getting a Lady who was married to a Beatle was almost like signing royalty to them.”

“They are gutted they had to drop the title.”

Gwen Stefani has revealed she worries that people judge her for keeping working after giving birth to son Kingston last May.

She revealed recently: “I know people might look at me differently and wonder why I didn’t take a year off.”

“Well, I am the original Catholic girl who has all those feelings of guilt too, but Kingston’s here with me all the time.”

“If I had to go to ‘work’ then I just wouldn’t, I would just stay with him, but he comes everywhere with me and he makes everyone laugh and enjoy it all so much more.”

• While the Vanity Fair after-party is typically the most prestigious and the Elton John one a bit random in terms of its guest list, the CAA’s Patrick Whitesell/Soho House bash attracted the hardcore party-animals. Spies report that Vince Vaughn and Paris Hilton were both very, very drunk - the latter having a running argument with on-off boyfriend Stavros Niarchos and refusing to let him leave. Fresh out of rehab Lindsay Lohan was also at the party but not having a great time - she spent most of the evening sat in a corner and was overheard telling friends: “Oh my God, I’ve got the shakes, it won’t stop.”
• The party was played tribute - albeit not a terrible flattering one - to currently-in-rehab Britney Spears. According to the Mirror, partygoers including Leonardo DiCaprio and Jessica Biel sang along to a medley of Britney’s hits and some of them incorporated a new dance move into the routine - mimicking shaving their heads.
• George Clooney has revealed he’s been making the most of his Best Supporting Actor Oscar in the year since he picked it up for Syriana. At Sunday’s ceremony, George revealed he makes all visitors to his villa in Lake Como, Italy pose with the statue: “There’s always great people who stop by. So whoever came by I made them take a picture… and they all had to give, like, their own made-up acceptance speech. There’s some really funny pictures.”

Anna Nicole Smith’s funeral will be delayed further after her mother appealed over last week’s court ruling regarding where she will be buried - but it looks like the paternity case of Anna Nicole’s daughter Dannielynn is moving forwards.

Anna Nicole’s mother Virgie Arthur entered an appeal on Friday asking Judge Larry Seidlin to reconsider last week’s ruling but he rejected the request early on Monday morning. However, Virgie also filed an appear with the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals which has agreed to hear the challenge later this week.

Judge Seidlin reportedly believes Virgie is just stalling for time, saying that “[she] seeks an indefinite stay and has shown no intent to expedite the proceedings.”

In the paternity case though, Larry Birkhead has been allowed to see Dannielynn for the first time since her birth almost six months ago. Larry met the baby girl he claims is his daughter at the home Anna Nicole and Howard K Stern shared in the Bahamas.

The Birkhead/Stern factions reportedly started negotiating regarding custody of the infant after an incident in the Florida court last week. According to TMZ, Howard’s lawyer Krista Barth removed a styrofoam cup of water from the witness stand when Larry was testifying and there is speculation that it was used to carry out a DNA test.

Sources told the websites that Howard is now considering giving Larry what he needs in order to gain custody of the girl in return for Howard to be given ongoing control of Anna Nicole’s estate and once it is settled, to become a trustee for Dannielynn.
