Lindsay Lohan is expected to hear in the next few days whether she will be charged over her car accident in Beverly Hills at the end of last month.

Law enforcement sources have revealed that Lindsay’s blood-alcohol level was “nearly twice the legal limit” when she crashed her car into a curb and shrub in the early hours of 26th May. The sources claim tests show she also had traces of cocaine in her bloodstream in addition to the “usable amount” of the drug found in the car.

Lindsay was taken to a local hospital after the incident and treated for minor injuries before being arrested for the crash. She checked into rehab two days later.

A source from the Beverly Hills Police Department told TMZ that the case is likely to be presented to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office over the next few days - coinciding with Lindsay’s 21st birthday on Monday.

• Paris Hilton donned a dark wig, sunglasses and a straw hat in an attempt to be incognito while flying to Maui yesterday. The socialite was spotted in the United Airlines First Class Lounge at LAX yesterday morning and arrived in Hawaii a few hours later. She travelled alone - without an entourage or any friends or family.
• Jesse Metcalfe has revealed he has musical aspirations. The John Tucker Must Die star is currently in the UK hosting events and meeting with record producers. Speaking at a MAC Viva Glam party in London on Wednesday, he told People magazine: “I’m trying to do music, actually. I’ve just started writing and trying to develop my sound a little bit, but it will be as a solo artist. I sing and play guitar.”

Lily Allen has said she was inspired to enter showbiz after seeing her dad Keith Allen at work.

Lily, the daughter of Keith and film producer Alison Owen told New York Magazine recently: “When my parents were away and stuff, I had to get myself off to school and I could never be bothered to do it.”

“But when my dad was an actor, I remember I’d stay with him when he was on location and people would knock on his door in the morning. ‘Come on, you’ve got to get up! You’ve got to be in the make-up chair in two minutes!’ I knew then that I wanted someone to wake me up in the morning. ‘Oh, okay! I’ll be an entertainer. I’ve got no responsibilities. Perfect.’”

She added that she didn’t think she’d won the genetic lottery from her mum and dad but it’s all worked out in the end: “I’ve got my dad’s short legs and long back. My mum, my sister, and my brother all have blonde hair and blue eyes. I’m the only one like this. My sister’s very tall and beautiful. But then again, I’m talented and rich.”

Jaime and fiance Eric Cubiche welcomed son Dezi James into the world on 11th May and she told People magazine this week: “We are both head over heals in love with him.”

“We’re constantly playing with him. …He’s just a joy. Smiling and easygoing. I guess that means the next will be a devil.”

“He has my coloring but Eric’s nose and cheeks. And of course we think he’s a genius.”

She added that she isn’t looking forward to going back to work on the TV show in August: “I know it’s going to be hard. If I just go to the gym or the office for a couple of hours I miss him. Going to work will be tough.”

After a period of relative calm after she left rehab, Kevin Federline is reportedly worried about estranged wife Britney Spears‘ lifestyle once again.

Kevin challenged Britney for custody of their two sons during Britney’s initial post-split partying phase late last year and after a period of civil shared custody, had the boys full time (with help from Britney’s mum Lynne Spears) while the singer was in rehab in February and early March.

The pair shared custody again after she checked out of Promises Treatment Center but now that she’s partying and reportedly drinking again, Kevin is dubious about her ability to be a mother to 21-month old Sean and 9-month old Jayden.

A source close has told Us Weekly: “He thinks she’s mentally unstable and too young to be a mom.”

“[Kevin] expects full custody of his children one day.”

But he won’t abandon her completely: “He loves his kids and, to that extent, he will look after Britney.”

• Bruce Willis reportedly didn’t let the presence of his ex-wife Demi Moore and their eldest daughter Rumer Willis cramp his style at the Live Free or Die Hard premiere in New York last Friday. An onlooker told the New York Post that Bruce was spotted at the after-party “flirting and leaving with a gorgeous young blonde .. right in front of Rumer”.
• Britney Spears reportedly won’t be making a one-off appearance on the Cyndi Lauper ‘True Colors’ tour in LA this weekend after all. A source told the New York Post: “There’s no way. Britney said she would only dance or lip-sync - and to be on stage with Cyndi, you have to actually perform. It’s not happening now.”
