• Kelly Osbourne has confirmed that she’ll take to the West End stage later this year, starring as Mama Morton in the musical Chicago. Regarding the news, Kelly said this week: “It’s been a dream of mine to be in the West End, I can’t wait to work with such an amazing cast.” The show’s producer Barry Weissley added: “We’re very excited that Kelly is joining the production. She’s internationally recognized, she’s unique - it’s the perfect match.”
• Former Dharma & Greg star Jenna Elfman gave birth to a baby boy last week. Story Elias weighed in at 7lbs 2oz on 23rd July and is the first child for Jenna and husband Bodhi. Jenna’s spokesperson confirmed the birth yesterday and said that the little boy’s “likes include classical music, a clean diaper, mom’s boobs and long naps. Story wants to give big props to his mom for all the hard work.”

Victoria Beckham is reportedly planning to open a designer boutique in Los Angeles to truly establish her position as a style icon.

A source told the People newspaper that the shop on Melrose Avenue in Beverly Hills will sell her own “dVb” range of denims, sunglasses and handbags, as well as select items from other designers.

The source said Victoria hopes to attract LA’s fashion elite to the store and her celebrity friends Katie Holmes and Eva Longoria are fully supporting the Spice Girl’s plans: “Victoria wants to ensure she is as much of a fashion icon in the States as in the UK and this seems the ideal way to do it.”

“Melrose Avenue is THE place to have a store if you are a designer, so if Victoria pulls it off it will do wonders to boost her status.”

“There are plans for a massive ad campaign to coincide with it. Nothing will be done by halves.”

“Victoria is also in talks to model the designs herself but may decide it would just be better to stick to the business side of things.”

Isla Fisher has said she’s planning to be a stay-at-home mum for at least the next few years.

Isla confirmed this week that she’s expecting her first child with fiance, Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen in the early autumn and told People magazine: “I’m so happy, very happy, and very excited.”

She added that the couple, who split their time between London and Los Angeles, have yet to decide on where she’ll give birth - and like friends Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber (who welcomed their baby boy into the world this week), they have chosen not to be told the baby’s gender before the big moment itself.

However when it comes to the post-birth plans, Isla is fixed on concentrating on motherhood: “I haven’t got any plans to jump back into [work after the birth].”

“I plan on just coloring in books. I’ll focus on that for the next few years.”

Tameka Foster has denied the various rumours circulating about why she and fiance Usher called off their wedding at the weekend.

Most sources have put the last minute decision down to the tensions between Tameka and Usher’s mum and former manager Jonetta Patton but speaking to People magazine on Monday, Tameka insists that all the rumours are wrong.

She said: “No one knows why we cancelled the wedding, but I can tell you that all of the reasons that everyone is speculating and writing about are completely untrue.”

She refused to give the real reasons for the cancellation but confirmed that she had checked into hospital on Saturday evening due to pregnancy complications.

She added: “We had a scare. But, I am fine and the baby is fine.”

The baby is due in the late autumn and will be Usher’s first child. Tameka has three other children from previous relationships.

Pete Doherty has reportedly turned to an ex-girlfriend for comfort after splitting up from Kate Moss.

A source told the Daily Mail that Pete spent last weekend with Nadine Ruddy: “Pete was with Nadine last weekend and picked her up from her home in Reading. She stayed with him until Monday when he went into rehab.”

“They do have a lot of history. They dated before Pete met Kate and have remained very close. He confides everything to Nadine and she always soothes him and makes him feel better.”

The source went on to say that much to Kate’s annoyance, Pete frequently turned to Nadine when things got tense between the high profile pair: “Pete was actually seeing her when he was going through a difficult phase with Kate in December. They spent the night together at a hotel.”

A friend of Kate added that news of two together will be upsetting for the single mum: “She will be devastated to hear he is back with Nadine. She always suspected something was going on between them, which is why she banned him from seeing her.”

“[Nadine] has helped convince him he can have a bright future without Kate and there are still people around who love him very much.”

The friend added that Kate is doing well, in a stubborn way, since the split but “there are dark moments when she breaks down and really misses Pete”.

It looks like Christina Aguilera’s husband Jordan Bratman was right to worry about his pregnant wife - the singer collapsed backstage during a show in Melbourne, Australia on Friday.

A source told the Sun that Christina started having breathing difficulties and had to abandoned her encore as she slumped off-stage. She was rushed to hospital and kept under observation overnight before being told to cancel her two remaining Melbourne shows in favour of total bed rest.

Christina is believed to be around four months pregnant but is said to be adamant about completing the final dates on her world tour as planned.

The source added: “The wardrobe department have been letting out her costumes to accommodate her growing tummy.”

“We have been told to keep it hush hush. She is a perfectionist and hates letting people down. But we’re hoping she will cancel the last [dates on the tour] and return to LA to put her feet up.”

Christina’s spokesperson, who has refused to confirm the pregnancy rumours, blamed the health scare on a bout of the flu and issued a statement from Christina apologising to fans for cancelling the shows, saying: “I am truly disappointed that I won’t be able to share my show with you all.”
