Larry Birkhead has been dropped from a $1.7million deal with OK magazine after allegations that his custody battle with Howard K Stern over daughter Dannielynn was fixed.

OK magazine, which published the first photographs of Larry and Dannielynn together after he was awarded custody in May, was set to print photographs from Dannielynn’s first birthday party next week but now they have backed out of the agreement.

A publicist for the magazine said yesterday: “OK! Magazine has uncovered explosive allegations regarding Larry Birkhead, Howard K. Stern and baby Danielynn, prompting the magazine to cancel our exclusive coverage of Danielynn’s first birthday party.”

“The newly obtained allegations are detailed, shocking and potentially incriminating. It makes it impossible for OK!, in good conscience, to promote this family’s highly questionable relationship in our pages.”

The magazine’s editor-in-chief Sarah Ivens added: “My biggest fear is that Larry and Howard may have tricked us all.”

“It breaks my heart that OK has to pull out of a shoot that would have chronicled the next great chapter of Dannielynn’s life.

The allegations stem from a new book about Dannielynn’s mother, Anna Nicole Smith, called ‘Blonde Ambition’ by Rita Cosby which is due to be released next month. Larry has already pledged to sue Cosby - and his former lawyer Debra Opri because he believes Opri is Cosby’s source.

He told the New York Post: “So I am going to be suing both Debra and Rita Cosby. The bottom line is Rita Cosby needed something to do. She got fired [from MSNBC in 2006], and nobody wanted her.”

• Heather Mills has reportedly been collecting a plethora of parking tickets around the Hamptons while holidaying in the area. A source told the New York Post: “She’s parking in front of fire hydrants and in handicapped zones without a handicapped tag.” The source added that Heather resorted to showing off her prosthesis to one official as he wrote up a ticket for her rented Bentley convertible and she was photographed sticking her tongue out at him when he turned away from her.
• Britney Spears‘ comeback single has been officially premiered on a New York radio station’s website. The track ‘Gimme More’ opens with the singer saying, “It’s Britney, b****” in case there is any confusion and ends with producer Nate ‘Danjahandz’ Hills saying, “Bet you didn’t see this coming”. Britney is to host the opening of a new nightclub, LAX, in Las Vegas this evening but it isn’t known whether she’ll prefer at the event. She is expected to open next month’s MTV’s VMA though.

Fall Out Boy star Pete Wentz has said he’s enjoying his relationship with Ashlee Simpson because she’s more mature and trusting than his previous girlfriends.

He told the Sun recently: “This is the first relationship I’ve been in when I’ve been honest with the person.”

“Lots of time you can feel like you’re baby-sitting someone in a relationship.”

“I’ve been in relationships when I’ve signed autographs for fans and the person would get really jealous.”

“There’s a story on the internet saying Ashlee is like that, but it’s just insane. She would never do that.”

It looks like a full-scale custody battle might be on the way for Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown.

In newly released legal papers filed last month, Bobby claimed Whitney has been trying to shut him out of their daughter Bobbi Kristina’s life since the couple separated last September, but even more so since their divorce was finalised in June.

Bobby claims: “Since Whitney has been awarded sole legal and physical custody of Bobbi Kris, she has attempted to eliminate me from Bobbi Kris’ life.”

“I did all I could to see my daughter … I also paid approximately $10,000 for Whitney and Bobbi Kris to live in a nice hotel while Whitney was going through rehab … I basically lived out of my car.”

“I have not seen or spoken to my daughter since early June and I have no prospect of speaking to her or seeing her anytime soon due to Whitney’s actions.”

However, Whitney responded claiming Brown has been “almost totally uninvolved in taking care of [Bobbi Kristina].”

“Bobby is going to try to get child or spousal support from me … Bobby is fully capable of working and earning substantial sums of money if he would control her personal behavior.”

“We have a daughter together and I would like him to be involved in her life [but] frankly, I needed to be divorced from him so that I could get my life back on track.”

The couple were seen dining together at a restaurant in Georgia earlier this month and are believed to have discussed the custody issue then.

Steve Coogan is considering taking legal action against ex-girlfriend Courtney Love, after she claimed he had something to do with Owen Wilson’s suicide attempt at the weekend.

After Owen took his overdose and slashed at his wrists on Sunday, Courtney told Us Weekly: “Under normal circumstances I wouldn’t comment but I care too much about Owen.”

“I went through it with Steve. I was just out of rehab and he was right there with the drugs.”

“I tried to warn Owen. I tried to warn his friends. I hope from the bottom of my heart that Owen stays the hell away from that guy.”

Courtney and Steve had a brief fling in 2005, after which Courtney claimed she was pregnant by the British comedian, and she has left an impression on Steve’s friends.

One of them told the Mirror: “She is mad as a f****** box of frogs, for God’s sake.

“She has got an axe to grind. It’s absolutely outrageous that she is dragging Steve into this and extremely unfair on Owen. To the best of my knowledge, he has never done drugs with Owen.”

Steve’s spokesperson added: “These accusations are unfounded, unhelpful and hurtful to all concerned. We’re taking legal advice.”

Owen is still at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles following the incident at his home at the weekend and has dropped out of filming Tropic Thunder, which was set to start production next month.

• A source has confirmed that Rihanna and Shia LaBeouf are dating after the couple were seen dining together at a restaurant in Beverly Hills earlier this week. The source said regarding the pair: “Shia and Rihanna are officially a couple. It’s the talk of the Indiana Jones 4 set.” Shia is currently filming the archaelogical adventure pic with Harrison Ford. He picked up a Best Actor award for his role in Disturbia at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday.
• Keira Knightley had no plans to make a show of herself after opening the Venice Film Festival last night. Keira wore Chanel on the red carpet at the premiere of her new film Atonement and while she hoped to enjoy the after-party, she told reporters: “I’m not going to get blind drunk and then stumble out and fall over and puke up in front of people. I’m not saying I don’t do that in private, but I try not to.”
