• Cate Blanchett has sparked rumours that she’s pregnant with her third child after being spotted with a bit of a bump over the weekend. A bump was visible under Cate’s shiny dress during an appearance on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross then again under her little black dress on her way to the theatre in New York on Saturday. Cate, who already has two sons Dashiell and Roman, said last month that she and husband Andrew Upton hoped to have another child at some point.
• Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger has been linked to Good Luck Chuck star Dane Cook after the pair were spotted canoodling last week. Onlookers at last week’s Hoku gig in Hollywood reports Nicole was “cuddling and kissing his neck” throughout the show and left together at the end of the evening. A friend of Nicole’s told Us Weekly: “He’s not her usual type, but she really seems to like him. He is incredibly funny and has completely wooed her with his humor.”

Rumours are circulating that Angelina Jolie is pregnant for the second time by partner Brad Pitt.

The actress, who has recently been filming The Changeling in Los Angeles, was set to give a lecture on child poverty around the world at the UN Pio Manzu Centre in Rimini, Italy this week but has cancelled due to “personal reasons”.

Newspapers in the country began reporting that these “personal reasons” are pregnancy related and a spokesperson from the centre told the Sun: “Angelina cancelled last week. Due to her privacy I can’t confirm her pregnancy, but I can say that the Italian newspapers are correct in their reports.”

The child would be a fifth for the family-loving couple: they already have two sons, Maddox and Pax, and two daughters, Zahara and Shiloh.

• After two failed rehab attempts earlier in the year, Lindsay Lohan seems keen to make her last programme of treatment work - she was spotted leaving the Thalians Mental Health Center at Cedars-Sinai on Sunday night following a counselling session and AA meeting. She was also spotted - or rather striped - conducting a little retail therapy with boyfriend Riley Giles yesterday too.
• In New York, Joss Stone, Petra Nemcova and Kelly Ripe were amongst those who turned out for the 10th Year of The G&P Foundation At The 2007 Angel Ball last night.
• While over in Los Angeles, Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie looked chic and coordinated (as monotone opposites) for a stroll down Sunset Boulevard.

Despite rumours of tensions between former BFFs Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes, David Beckham has nothing but praise for Katie and husband Tom Cruise and insists that as keen as Tom is to promote his religion generally, the subject of Scientolgy has not come up for decision between them.

David told Arena magazine recently: “They are amazing people who are just so positive about life and they have been great to us.”

“We respect their religion. We respect everything they do and believe in.”

“But they have never turned around to us and said, ‘You have to be a part of this’, because that’s not what they’re about. It’s never been about that.”

“There’s been nothing shoved down our throats because friends don’t do things like that.

He added that he is also close to Jennifer Lopez‘ husband Marc Anthony: “We talk about all sorts. What’s happening that week, that day. What Jennifer’s up to, what Victoria’s up to. I speak to him at least three or four times a week.”

Amy Winehouse has reportedly been banned from the US after her arrest for possession of cannabis in Norway earlier in the month.

According to her dad Mitch Winehouse, Amy was set to fly to the States next week but has now been denied a visa for entry into the country.

Mitch told This Morning yesterday that the problem arose after she mistakenly signed a confession after her arrest in Bergen: Amy insists the drugs didn’t belong to her but signed the Norweigan language form thinking it was just a simple release form: “It didn’t belong to her, it belonged to someone else on the tour. They arrested Blake, Amy and the person who was responsible.”

“They only released them after they signed a form, which they were told was a release form. It was in Norwegian. It was actually a confession, so this is being dealt with now by the Norwegian authorities and the British Consulate because the ramifications of that are that she now can’t get into the States and she was meant to go next week.”

Mitch flew over to be with his daughter after she left police custody and added that she is doing much better than she was over the summer: “She’s not drinking as heavily now but there are other problems.”

“Bulimia is still apparent. She’s put on about a stone but it’s still affecting her health. And there’s substance abuse as well but it’s not as bad as has been reported.”

• Britney Spears is reportedly livid that her ex-husband Kevin Federline has not had to submit himself to court-ordered random drugs tests like she has. Both parties were ordered to attend counselling, having parent coaching sessions and abstain from alcohol and drugs in the 12 hours before seeing their sons, Sean and Jayden, but a source told the Sun that only Britney has had to undergo the tests: “She is furious. She believes the court is more sympathetic towards Kevin.” LA Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon is expected to make a ruling on their custody case today.
• Take That’s Howard Donald has been released from hospital following an on-stage injury last week. Howard is thought to have punctured his lung after a dance move when wrong on stay in Italy last week and was taken to hospital in Vienna, Austria the following day. His spokesperson told the Sun: “Howard is making a speedy recovery. He will rejoin his bandmates in Hamburg tomorrow when the tour arrives there. It is still not clear when he will be back on stage, but it should be very soon.” A second source added: “He may even grab a microphone [at the Hamburg show].”
