Elizabeth Hurley has revealed she didn’t think much to the items of jewellery given to her by a particular - but unnamed - ex-boyfriend.

Liz told Ultra magazine recently: “In the past, I was given jewellery by someone who gave me what he liked with no regard to the fact that it wasn’t remotely to my taste.”

“Blind with love, I wore those fussy, intricate, period pieces which looked all wrong on me as I like - and suit - sleek, clean lines.”

“When we split up, they went to the bank, where they remain in a sulky little pile.”

She added that she’s got new fiance Arun Nayar well trained in the art of buying her presents: “My gorgeous fiance goes to bed reading Sotheby’s and Christie’s jewellery catalogues.”
