Nick Lachey has further denied the rumours that he proposed to girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo at New Year.

Nick was rumoured to have popped the question after whispering something in Vanessa’s ear at the MTV New Year celebration in New York, causing her to cry. He also reportedly called ex-wife Jessica Simpson in December to prepare her for the news.

Now he’s told Access Hollywood: “The four-letter word that starts with an ‘r’ - we are not dealing with that one yet.”

“We are very happy. I have no complaints. We are not dealing with marriage yet.”
