Victoria Beckham delighted with imminent LA move
Victoria Beckham has arrived in Los Angeles for a third round of househunting now that it’s been confirmed that husband David Beckham has signed with the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team.
A friend told the News of the World that Victoria is delighted the deal has been signed: “As far as she’s concerned, the move can’t come soon enough.”
“David wanted desperately to get back into the England team and the Premiership.”
“But Victoria convinced him it would be better for their boys, their security and future to go to Los Angeles. His decision was swung by the fact his sons will have a better life.”
The source added that Victoria has already enrolled eldest son Brooklyn at Brentwood School, an exclusive private day school in Los Angeles and is looking for an eight bedroom home nearby: “She wants one with indoor and outdoor pools and a gym.”
The newspaper reported that friend Katie Holmes is also delighted with the Beckhams’ impending move and is organising a summer party in their honour to introduce them to other A-list celebrities. Steven Spielberg and Jennifer Lopez - who Victoria reportedly bonded with at Katie’s wedding to Tom Cruise in November - are already lined up to attend.

I think she likes to be noticed and she doesn’t get that much noticed here. So I hope she gets plenty of attention there. Best of luck for her new career in the fashion business. Sorry but I don’t usually like what she wears most of the time!

The yanks think becks has an awful voice!
1. “david is good looking n all but his voice is a big turn off”

We don’t want Posh here and many of us hope David will be lured away by Paris or Scarlett. Everybody’s waiting…He’s straight and gorgeous. Why would Posh want the ruthless LA women after him?

She’s a hideous looking woman- isn’t she?
I do not believe that the Beckhams’ will be as big over here as VB wants them to be… I believe that David will be dissapointed and eventually disillusioned with the level of “play” here in the Staes- it is not ANYTHING like he is used to in the UK/Spain… I believe that this “move” was solely motivated by Victoria’s need for world-wide fame/recognition of the “beckham-brand-name”- she unfortunately will be the one to lose out long-term– we American’s could care less about soccer and are fed up with all the fame-obsessed celebs we already have over here- Tom/Katie, Paris, Lindsey- the naseating list can go on and on… I believe that this move will not only be the “end” of Posh’s idealization of conquering America- but truly I believe that David will hold her responsible for him “selling” out to pursue her unending “need” for fame- I say they divorce within the 5-years that he is contracted for… I think that David is an alright guy, it’s just unfortunate that he had to get involved with a narcissistic, snotty, ego-driven, all about me,me, me, fake as Victoria has time and time again shown herself to be– no wonder the Brits can’t stand her- I imagine we, Americans will follow suit…

Carolina,
I agree with you, the UK are so sick of this conceited money-grabbing pair & have been trying to boot them out for a long time. Sorry that you are now lumbered with them.
I think they will divorce & David will meet a woman who is less conceited & attention-needy & if it wasn’t for their children, he’d already be gone.
Watch this space, but whatever happens to them, please don’t send them back here, we’ve had more than our fair share!

I think they’ll get attention for a while then it will fade. People in the states just aren’t that interested in these two even though I think David Beckham is totally hot!! Maybe they are our punishment for sending Gwyneth and Madonna to England.

I agree with Carolina.. i give them 5 years and they will divorce. It’s about time that David wakes up and realize what he can have. Personnally, really think it’s all Victoria’s idea..The LA thing. She needs soooo much attention this girl. David seems like a very nice guy and doesn’t seem to like the fake life. I don’t think LA will last for them. He’s a familly guy. That will be a very funny story to follow…

David isn’t a great player anymore! I’m sure the guy realises this deal is the last big deal he can pull with football. It’s obvious he’s cashing it in. I’m sure he has plans for other things in LA (movies, presenters, advertisings..). His wife will have a hard time keeping him clean. Victoria can’t sing. I’m sorry but the girl doesn’t have a good voice. Good luck with her fashion career. I don’t think her dress sense is brillant either. I think she likes fame. If she can act she might get small parts in sit coms.

Sorry, I don’t think Dave Beckham is that hot - maybe a few years ago when he was at his prime but with all that exposure to the spanish sun, he’s starting to look really haggered.
If he doesn’t leave Vicky then they deserve each other, his personality would improve so much if he found a nicer partner. The squeaky voice is another problem, plus the Obsessional Compulsive Disorder that he suffers but I feel sorry for him in that respect & maybe it’s aggravated by her behaviour
