Despite the many, many rumours that it’s set to happen imminently, Pete Doherty has said he has no intention to marry Kate Moss.

Speaking after a Babyshambles gig in London on Friday night - before his arrest yesterday - Pete told the Sunday Mirror: “I’m never getting married. I don’t believe in it.”

“Kate and I are in love - I worship her - but we’re not going down the aisle. I’m happy the way it is.”

He refused to discuss the rumour that the two held a Buddhist commitment ceremony during their New Year holiday in Thailand but smiled and said: “You know, we’re committed.”

He added that he has high hopes for 2007 - but not his regular kind of high: “I’m really off the drugs and I’m feeling positive. I think it will be a good year for us.”

Kate reportedly postponed allowing Pete to move into her north London home this week after he got into a fight in Thailand but was spotted viewing a £4million home in Regent’s Park on Friday, sparking rumours she’s planning to buy a new home for the two to share.
