Jack Black was so impressed when he spotted to pre-teen buskers on the streets of Christchurch, New Zealand on Monday that he asked the duo to perform at the Tenacious D concert in the city the following night.

Ten year old Alex Philpott and eleven year old Max Tetley performed a cover of Bob Dylan’s ‘All Along the Watchtower’ at the show on Tuesday night before Jack and bandmate Kyle Gass took to the stage.

Alex described the experience as “amazing” and added “We’ll be scoring heaps of chicks!”.

Max, meanwhile, was a little overawed by it all and couldn’t focus on the groupies: “I was just trying not to wet myself, honestly.”
