Victoria Beckham is viewing 35 mansions, each costing between $10million and $20million, in an effort to find the perfect family home for when husband David transfers to the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team over the summer.

Victoria arrived in Los Angeles for her third round of house-hunting at the weekend and said yesterday: “I have been looking at a lot of houses, and I want to make sure I pick the right one for David and the kids.”

“I’ve seen some beautiful places, but we want somewhere that looks like a nice home.”

She was spotted snapping photos of one home - formerly owned by Lionel Richie then Chris Evans during his marriage to Billie Piper - but a friend told the Mirror it wouldn’t be making the shortlist: “Victoria loved the house but it’s not got enough bedrooms for them to live in and have friends and family to stay. For them to extend the house they would need permission and they don’t want to start off life in the States living on a building site.”

The source added that Victoria was getting some A-list advice from friends already living in the area: Katie Holmes has reportedly been making suggestions and “[Jennifer Lopez] was offering as much advice as she could on the best areas to live.”

But even without a home decided upon, Victoria has already started making interior design plans: according to TMZ, she’s contracted celebrity children boutique Petit Tresor to design soccer-themed bedrooms for their three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz. Samantha Winch, co-owner of the store, said regarding the $100,000 contract: “The idea is to make you feel like you’re in a soccer stadium like dad.”

Victoria was also spotted buying $12,000 worth of toys and clothes from the shop to be shipped back to the boys in Spain.
