Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt moving to New Orleans
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have decided to move their family’s US base of operations from Los Angeles to New Orleans in an effort to escape their constant media hounding.
Brad is currently filming The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button in the city and the couple have recently bought a home in the city’s French Quarter.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Angelina confirmed the plans to move, saying: “We love it there. The kids are going to go to school there. We’re really looking forward to it.”
A source close to Angelina added that the star is hoping the move will facilitate them living a normal family life: “She’s interested in befriending normal moms so she can do things with the kids.”
But the source added that they’re not going to be entirely lowkey as they also hope to raise awareness for the ongoing problems faced by the area since Hurricane Katrina in 2005: “They think it is important to be there right now.”

Good!! for them. Most of the people that wants to make good movies and still want to enjoy privacy and family usually prefer to live away from the glitz like California or New york. Hollywood GLITZ people mostly are phony and selfish and talked bad about others and make out stories. Mostly celebrity enjoy seing and knowing others fail. Then, pretend they are sympathetic.

300 is a great movie full of visual effects and graphics which made it different and much better.
Acting was great, director did a wonderful job and chose great actors, full of action, and it is based on a true story.

A normal life in the French Quarter in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina?
There is a definition of insanity.
I lived in New Orleans for many years.
They are abysmally stupid. Let’s see how long they will stay there and what their excuse will be when they move away.

I spent 12 years in New Orleans. The Quarter is not a place to raise children before or after Katrina.

OK…make certain that your children/granchildren who are raised OUTSIDE of the Quarter don’t mingle with those silly Pitt/Jolie kids!
Dunno how long your “12 years” has been, but perhaps it’s time to revisit our wonderful area.

As a New Orleans area resident, I’m delighted to see them pump 3+Million dollars into our local economy.
Anyone who thinks differently is an a*****e.
To those of you who live in NOLA and don’t like them???????….. Don’t socialize with them. *grinning*

I’m not from new orleans. If that’s where pitt-jolie want to be then I’m sure it’s not doing anything terrible to the city. New Orleans might get more visitors from their fans. However, I have yet to see them confirm the move yet? The rumour has started from a tabloid. Maybe they aren’t moving at all? I don’t blame them for wanting to get away from LA. But they will get the paparazzi anywhere they go in America. Their children will be photographed at schools just like in LA.

Well you might have a point there smomo. You know she’s always said she doesn’t care about people having opinions on her private life. I think if she feels they aren’t interested in befriending her then she will just get on with it by herself. That’s just the way Jolie is. She’s stubborn. Personally I think she’ll make some new friends. I hope she does. I also think she should pay attention to what other people are saying too. After all it is the public that keeps her in the job! If she was a nobody, she would certainly have a hard time finding employment in hollywood. I think she’s been getting a lot of bad press in America lately, I hope she realises what people think count up to a certain amount. A lot of people (who aren’t interested in jolie versus aniston) feel she hasn’t grown up at all, especially after the blob comment.

i think she cares about what people think. if she didn’t then she wouldn’t have talked about how she felt for pitt in vogue. anyway it backfires on her cause not many people actually believe what she said. talking about old news shows she cares about the box office and her job! i do think she’s stubborn like jams has suggested. well it shows that she hasn’t taken any wise words from her pr when it comes to being interviewed, she tends to talk too openly about her children and pitt. I do hope they’ll last. Personally I doubt they’ll make it for more than five years. I think their relationship is still new. They are excited by each other and making it out to be one big adventure. Well i hope their adventure can keep them together.

Being together for life (which i think they wann be because of children) takes more than adventure. It takes compromising, a lot of it. I don’t see her as someone who can compromise very well. I think she’ll find it quite hard when she has more children, which by the way they want to very soon. I think she does what she wants and when she wants most of the time. I think brad will eventually have a problem with how she chooses to live. I’m willing to put my money on it. The adventure will turn sour when he doesn’t want the children and himself to travel the globe anymore.

I really hope they realise how lucky they are ! Anyway I must say I don’t think this will last very long. It’s sad but I too think eventually brad will wake up from this adventure. He thinks he’s having the time of his life but it takes more than excitement to keep people together. I can imagine her going off somewhere and he just doesn’t follow.

Compromise? I think the girl doesn’t know the meaning of the word! Immature is a good word to describe this person. Like I said in the other thread when her children have their own opions she’ll get a massive shock. I think pitt too will realise he can help with people without having to travel the globe every month. To be honest i think the bubble will burst in a few years. It is the children that will suffer. It wouldn’t surprise me if their biological daughter chooses pitt over her. I think she treats them differently.

well when the bubble burst it is jolie who will suffer as much as the kids. Her income will be much lessen. Her work will be cut by half. She will have to face hollywood in a different light. I truly hope she won’t turn destructive when that happens! You know the only actress that gets offer plenty of good parts when she’s aged is streep. She’s the only one that has the selling power as much as aniston, pitt, cruise, washington, diaz, gibson, thompson. Everyone else, diane keaton, goldie hawn, susan sarandan, and the rest suffer from a lack of challenging parts. Women always have it worse than men. I think the uk is a lot kinder to women. Helen Mirren is going strong. If she was in Hollywood she would end up playing mums and grandmas.

I don’t doubt that she will suffer financially. The kids will be taken care of but she’ll struggle with work for sure. However, i doubt that she’ll turn destructive again. I think she’ll end up living somewhere remote, working for free. I think she’ll leave hollywood behind.

Pitt and Jolie are actors. It’s a put on, an act, a show. Soon they find another “cause” while generating free publicity. Jolie is a bad actress made to look good by directors. Pitt has become her sidecick.

she isn’t a bad actress but i think she lets the fame thing goes to her head a bit. she talks about blob then refused to answer questions. Who does she think she is? I think brad is the soft one and she is the one with attitude problem. I’m sure he’s the one who backs down in a heated discussion. She’s not the flexible type.

Let’s hope they settle somewhere soon & give the kids a rest travelling. Going to different countries once or twice a year for vacation is great. But too many times during the year is unnerving. I know Businessmen who travel several times a year by themselves & say it’s just awful living out of a suitcase. But the other flip side is, Jolie & Pitt are Actors & sometimes must travel to exotic places where they’re filming, like to India for ‘A Mighty Heart’. Or to promote a Movie. Every Actor must do this! Jennifer Aniston travelled across Europe incl. Paris & to Australia to Promote the Break Up & was in a different city like every two months last year! Other Celebrities such as Madonna & Gwyneth Paltrow have children, live in both Europe & the USA, travel back & forth. They seem to do just fine! So sometimes Brangelina will have to travel!BP/AJ cool couple.

All you saps who idolize Pitt and Jolie know this. They are buying a house in Berlin and want to live there permanently.
When will you be convinced they were full of it when they said they will make New Orleans their home?

Given that it’s Hollywood, I think Jolie and Pitt have lasted a long time-and probably will last longer than Aniston and Pitt. Given that there are children involved, these predictions seem especially cruel.

There does seem to be a whole lot of envy from ordinary women and weird misogynist men who have a really creep relational attachment to Aniston. They seem to want actresses to look as ordinary homely as Aniston so no one’s feelings are hurt. I keep thinking of Rand’s “age of envy.”
