Ewan McGregor has revealed he’s planning another epic motorbike journey and this time his wife Eve Mavrakis will join him for part of the trip.

Ewan’s first three-month journey - from London to New York, via Mongolia and Alaska - formed the basis for the tv series and book Long Way Round and now he is planning at trip from Scotland to Cape Town in South Africa.

He said recently: “Being away from my wife and kids is hard but it’s part of the work of being an actor anyway. My wife is very supportive. She’ll be coming out for part of the next trip.”

“I have been married for 11 years and she has rarely even been on the back of a bike but she’s training to ride and will do the middle three weeks with us.”
