David Beckham interested in Scientology; Victoria Beckham not so much
Victoria and David Beckham reportedly have a difference of opinion when it comes to the Church of Scientology.
David has previously revealed he spent hours on the phone talking to friend and Scientology follower Tom Cruise last week while finalising his deal with the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team.
A source close to the family told the Sun that the conversation wasn’t just advise about where to buy a home or send the kids to school: “Tom spoke to David for hours about Scientology. He feels it could help to lift him out of the blues over his football career.”
But despite spending copious amounts of time with Tom - including nights out with him and wife Katie Holmes on Monday and Tuesday nights - Victoria isn’t interested in signing up: “Victoria is having none of it. She can’t see the point of joining something like that where you have to donate money [to the Church].”
She reportedly told a friend: “There’s no way I’d spend any money on that nonsense.”

First touch with the girlfriend in a live, after a while, through ICQ. Today met, and I felt the inability to talk with her on all topics, be open. Like komok in the throat, once tried to have intimate relations on the subject, immediately zamolkal. Yes, and she could not say anything wing.
Why, Internet communication allows more freedom than the real one? Perhaps some blame my fear, or the ability to label themselves in the Internet masks, I do not know. What do you think about this?

Well, I love Scientology and I am very accurate when I say 99% of what I’ve read or heard about it in the media are just lies and nonsenses. I met Scientology in 1984 and I have never seen any of what they publish in all of these years. And it’s actually very funny the things they say. One thing I must recognise: the people who write those stories have quite an imagination!

why anything to do with tom is to do with his religion. Leave the man alone. He’s just getting on with his thing in hollywood. He doesn’t preach religion to his friends.

Scientology is not a religion. Katie is now as brainwashed as her “husband” and it looks like Beckham will be as well. Maybe he will change his mind when he sees how much he will be paying to go through the courses. Victoria is wise not to join. Elvis realized what a load of crock Scientology was and would roll over in his grave if he saw what his daughter and ex-wife involved.

religion or belief or whatever it is i think tom isn’t on a mission to convert his friends either. I think his friends (lopez, will smith, rene and the newly added to the list the beckams) can make up their own minds when it comes to ideologies. I think jams isn’t wrong by saying slagging off tom because of the way he chooses to live his life. He isn’t hurting anyone. He isn’t saying the whole world should be converted!

I also think it’s only natural that his wife wanted to convert to his belief. They care for each other. Well they’re meant to be in partnership! She wanted to support him and I’m sure he supported her in other ways. I think it is so very wrong for anyone to be bad mouthing someone else’s way of life, especially when it is to do with religion or a way of life.

When someone like Katie Holmes turns her back on her friends and Catholic faith and joins something that only seems to allow her contact with others of the same “religion” is wrong. She doesn’t even speak for herself anymore. It is a total scam. People need to be aware of what they are getting into.Scientologists are always saying leave us alone but why doesn’t Tom allow her to keep her own faith if scientology is a religion?

How do we know she isn’t allow to speak for herself? Her parents were there at the wedding. Her sister was her bridemaid. The parents appeared happy for their daughter. She also gets along well with his other children, whose mum isn’t a scientologist. I don’t think the children are either. I see her hanging out with people who aren’t from the church like victoria and lopez. This business about her giving birth in silence was not true either. The people who helped her with the birth were meant to keep calm, not keep quiet. She was asked to keep calm but if she was to scream then it wasn’t a really big deal. I don’t see what’s wrong with it? I think before we say a religion is bad or doesn’t make sense, we should really look into facts and study it first. It isn’t nice to pass judgement on someone’s belief when we don’t really know what we are talking about.

Research it then. L.Ron Hubbard said himself:
“Writing for a penny a word is ridiculous. If a man really wants to make a million dollars, the best way would be to start his own religion”
which he did.

i haven’t seen or heard that hubbard said that. If he did, in what context? I think what jasmine is trying to say is we shouldn’t be too quick to judge someone’s belief. I think she’s right on. I have yet to hear tom or his wife endorses his religion in a big way. He’s not afraid to admit he believes in it but he doesn’t make a big deal about it. It is the media that makes a massive deal about it!

i think beautiful katie can stand up for herself. She comes across as intelligent and shy, maybe that’s why people think she doesn’t have a voice. I think she’s savvy too. She handels the publicity quite well. If she didn’t get pregnant she would have done more indies. She was good in thank you for smoking.

I think katie is cute. I don’t think she is this good girl that people think she is though. I have seen pictures of her smoking. Anyway her husband produces high profile movies so I’m sure she isn’t short of good parts. She also likes to drink, she said so herself, it’s one of her favourite ways to relax. I think this girl has her own voice too!

Leave their belief out of it! They can believe in anything they want as long as they don’t say other religions are bad. They’ve the right to choose their own faith. Katie looks happy and so does Tom.

Obnoxious Tom Cruise feels compelled
to convert whomever becomes trapped
in his cult-worshipping orbit. He’s
an intolerant jerk!
