Naomi Campbell gets community service after admitting assault
Naomi Campbell has admitted she did assault her former maid during an argument last March - but that it wasn’t intentional.
Naomi told Manhattan Criminal Court on Tuesday: “I threw a cell phone in the apartment. The cell phone hit Ana [Scolavino]. This was an accident because I did not intend to hit her.”
A part of her guilty plea bargain Naomi will serve five days of community service to be carried out at some point over the next four months and pay for Ana’s medical expenses from the incident (around $400).
Naomi later issued a statement insisting: “I’m not going to let this incident define me. The past is the past.”
Earlier this week it was revealed that Naomi has left her manager of 15 years in order to “start afresh in 2007″.

I agree. she has had a tough year, what with her mothers cancer battle. I’m not making excuses for her behaviour. More importantly shes taking responsiblity for her actions. I hope to see her be the woman we all know she can be. As long as she knows there are a lot of people wishing her well for this new year.

Everyone who lives a normal life does things crazy that doesn’t define who or what they are; anyone who has ever gotten drunk, said hurtful things they didn’t mean, or went with someone they ended up despising later can be put in the same catagory. An event can not define who a person is and Naomi should not be a woman who is defined by a moment of frustration. She’s had a very hard year and not only has she had a hard year but it has been hard in front of the cameras for all the world to see because since she is a public figure she gets little privacy so its not like many of us who have bad days at work and we can just go home and leave our troubles at work, this is a luxury she doesn’t have. I think she has really come through all this wel and this has matured her and made her much much stronger.

we can say simliar things about jade goody! I think she’s learnt her lesson big time. We shouldn’t forget about the bigger fish in the picture. Channel 4 is just as much to blame for what happened. They engineered the fight.
