• Joss Stone has revealed she threatened to give up singing unless she was given more control over her career, particularly when it came to making her third album. She said recently: “It’s no secret that I don’t really like my first two albums. I told my manager: ‘Let me make the album I want to or I’ll quit and start a new life.’” Her third album ‘Introducing’ is due out in March.
  • Meryl Streep has revealed she’s tempted to give up acting because there are so few decent roles available for women her age. The 57 year old said recently: “I have seriously thought of giving up if there are not roles that do not depict women of my age as either dotty or horrible.”
  • My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has admitted he used to inadvertently stalk Christina Ricci as a teenage. The two grew up near each other and so their paths frequently crossed. He said recently: “She looks like an alien but there’s something really beautiful about her.”
