Antonio Banderas: I knew Melanie Griffiths and I would be together

Antonio Banderas has revealed he was lovestruck from the moment he saw Melanie Griffith.

Antonio first spotted Melanie at the 1988 Oscar ceremony when his film Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown received a nomination for Best Foreign Film.

He revealed recently: “The first time I saw Melanie was in 1988 when she was up for a Best Actress Oscar for Working Girl. I remember her outfit - a white dress with pearls.”

“I just knew one day we would get together, even though we didn’t really speak.”

The two didn’t met again until 1994 when they filmed Too Much together and married two years later.
