Hugh Grant has revealed he is quite particular about the things in his life - including girlfriend Jemima Khan’s taste in clothes.

In an interview to be published in the US edition of Vogue next month, he revealed: “I’m so spoiled now. I’m very queeny about food. I’m queeny about lighting. I quite like a white tablecloth. Jemima got new sheets the other day, and I said, “Well, do you realise these have to be washed eight times in non-biological powder before I’ll sleep in them?”‘

“Jemima won’t go out now without consulting me. I can’t stand that awful kind of boho thing. The worst is Notting Hill fashion: woolly hats and a great big ball dress with Doc Martens. It’s hideous.”

He also admitted that he’s encouraging her to read all his favourite books and watch his favourite films but it’s not all a one-way process: he’s become a father-figure to her two sons from her marriage to Imran Khan and it’s making him consider settling down himself too.

“I’ve become a cricket mum. I started taking the older boy [Sulaiman] to his cricket match on Saturdays, and I loved it. I get way too enthusiastic and competitive.”

“I remember reading a Warren Beatty quote when he finally had children and said what a relief it was to not be all me, me, me.”

“As much as I adore myself, I’m quite keen to find someone else to care about more.”

The magazine also suggested that Hugh had proposed to Jemima but that she hadn’t responded just yet. The couple have been subject to engagement rumours for over a year.
