Church of Scientology leader David Miscavige has reportedly told Tom Cruise that the actor has been “chosen” to spread his faith around the world and compares him to Jesus Christ.

A source claiming to be close to the actor is quoted in the Sun as saying: “Tom has been told he is Scientology’s Christ-like figure.”

“Like Christ, he’s been criticised for his views. But future generations will realise he was right.”
