Lindsay Lohan reportedly didn’t just go into rehab to “take care of my personal health” but for the sake of her career too.

An inside source told Us Weekly that the producers of Lindsay’s new film I Know Who Killed Me had to pay a high insurance premium to employ her because of her behaviour over the last few months and if she continued as she was doing, the premiums would keep rising.

The source added: “She had to get her s**t together and get sober or else, literally, the girl could not work again.”

Lindsay is continuing to shoot the film around her time at the Wonderland Center in Los Angeles but even though she is only at the center in the evenings and to sleep there, reports say she is making progress.

A friend told People magazine: “She’s been sending text messages from rehab saying she’s the happiest she has ever been… She seems under control right now.”

The friend added that Lindsay is spending her time at the Center in treatment sessions and going on long walks with a ’sober companion’ (a member of staff from the facility).
