Girls Aloud’s Nadine Coyle has reportedly decided to move permanently to Los Angeles to be with boyfriend Jesse Metcalfe, even though it means she’ll have to frequently take a 12 hour flight back to the UK for her Girls Aloud work.

A source close to the singer told the Mirror: “Nadine sees LA as her permanent base now, and she’s actively looking for a home to buy with Jesse. At first she was only after an investment, but it seems it won’t be long before Jesse pops the question so she wants to be there all the time.”

“He flew to Ireland to be with her for Christmas and she is staying with him until March when Girls Aloud start work again after a long break.”

“She is now only going to fly in for promotional work. It’s going to be tough for her and the group - but it breaks her heart to be away from him.”

The source added that the move could cause tensions within the band: “The rest of the band are happy for Nadine but they are not pleased that they will have to do all the early starts, while Nadine will just fly in to do the promotional work.”

The Girls are set to record a new album this year and have a brief stadium tour organised for the early summer.
