Steven Gerrard and Alex Curran to marry in June

England soccer star Steven Gerrard and fiancee Alex Curran have finalised a date for the wedding after getting engaged back in 2004.

The couple will marry on 16th June this year with their two daughters, two year old Lily Ella and nine-month old Lexie, expected to bridesmaids.

A source close to the couple told the Sun: “The event is shrouded in secrecy to protect the [magazine] deal they have signed and they have hired a wedding planner to help organise everything.”

“They had looked at the possibility of getting married at a castle in Ireland but have settled on a stately home in the North West.”

Steven’s England and Liverpool teammates, along with their WAGs and other celebrity friends, are expected to attend event.
