Leonardo DiCaprio has revealed that he thought his life would be spent in the world of science but the thought of committing to that life path scared him into acting.

He said recently: “My plan was to become a biologist to work with animals. That’s something I initially wanted to do until I realised acting was something I could do professionally.”

“But it was really career day in high school, when they said, ‘Now make a decision as to what you want to do for the next 10 years of your life.’”

“It sent me into a panic: ‘Oh God, I have to go to school for four years for one subject and what if I don’t want to do that? Let’s go to an audition and see if it works out.’”
