Madonna and Guy Ritchie get marriage back on track
Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s decision to visit a marriage counsellor has reportedly helped heal the cracks in their relationship.
According to the People newspaper, the therapist, Tricia Barnes, helped them drew up an agreement to put their marriage and family before their careers including suspending solo projects if they affect the family and spending more time together with their three children - starting with a fortnight’s family holiday in Los Angeles later this month.
A friend of the couple’s told the newspaper: “Guy and Madonna are really happy and upbeat and we are all thrilled for them.”
“They have both worked really hard at their marriage issues and come to a new understanding. They have each accepted their own part in the problems they had been experiencing and are determined not to let anything come between them again.”
“It’s a fresh start and they actually look like a pair of newlyweds again.”
The couple, accompanied by children Lourdes and Rocco, attended the London premiere of Madonna’s new (animated) film Arthur and the Invisibles last week and Guy and Madonna were also spotted having a candle-lit meal at celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant in Claridges hotel in London last Thursday.
An onlooker reported: “They came in looking really happy. They could not take their eyes off each other [during the meal]. They looked very much in love.”
