Olivier Martinez was spotted hugging Penélope Cruz the day after his break-up from Kylie Minogue was announced.

Olivier bumped into Penélope at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood - where Olivier is currently based - on Saturday and they greeted each other with a hug and kiss.

An onlooker revealed that Penélope, who was having lunch at the hotel with three female friends, was delighted to see Olivier and the feeling was obviously mutual: “He approached Penélope seconds after she had sat down. Now he is officially single, perhaps there could be more to it. He certainly appears relaxed and seems to have a bit of a glint in his eye.”

Olivier has been linked with a number of different women during his four year relationship with Kylie including Angelina Jolie, Lost’s Michelle Rodriguez and recently model Sarai Givati - but Sarai’s mum Edna Givati has denied any romance, saying: “They are not together and never were.”

Olivier was also spotted with a mystery brunette on Friday night, just hours after his split from Kylie.
