Pete Doherty applied for shotgun licence for “new hobby”

Pete Doherty reportedly wants to get into a stereotypical country way of life after staying at Kate Moss‘ cottage in the Cotswolds.

A friend told the Mirror that before Pete’s recent admission to a rehab clinic in London, he was making plans, saying: “I want to get a shotgun and a flat cap and go shooting like they all do in the country. It could be my new hobby.”

The friend added: “He loves nothing more than going to the Cotswolds with Kate and chilling out.”

“But recently he decided he wanted to get more of a taste for the country and thought that he could take up shooting. He told a handful of pals about his plans and they all told him to go for it.”

“After all, if it’s good enough for royalty - then he thought it’s good enough for him.”

But Pete’s previous prison time and numerous arrests got in the way when he applied for a gun licence: “He could hardly lie on the form so it’s not surprising he was turned down. But I think he thought stranger things have happened.”
