Mandy Moore has revealed she finds the whole size zero trend strange - and simultaneously made a dig at her possible boyfriend Adam Goldstein (aka DJ AM)’s ex-girlfriend, Nicole Richie.

Mandy told Seventeen magazine recently that it’s taken her a long time to be comfortable with her own appearance: “Oh, God! I tell you what, in this industry it’s my job to look a certain way or what not and it’s weird for men too.”

“But I’m much happier to present this type of person. I’m not Nicole Richie. I’m not like a toothpick, and I never will be. I’m just a regular-looking person and that’s okay.”

“I want to be healthy, but in an industry where you can’t wear a sample size because it’s like a 0 or a 2, it makes you feel bad about yourself. To go to a photo shoot, it’s like, ugh, God, can’t you just at least get a regular size, like a 6 or 8 or something?”

“It’s taken awhile to come to grips with that since it’s definitely not the norm in my business. But, like, who cares? If anything, that makes someone more special. Or at least that’s what I tell myself.”
