Kate Moss has reportedly finished with Pete Doherty but his mum has been calling the supermodel to try to get her to give him another chance.

A source supposedly close to Kate told the News of the World that Kate broke it off with Pete this week: “She laid her cards on the table and Pete flipped. He doesn’t want it to end - he’s so in love with Kate.”

“Pete phoned his mum in tears. He was inconsolable as he cried down the phone. So [Pete’s mum] Jackie called Kate and begged her to stand by Pete in his battle with drugs. She warned Kate that if she left him now, Pete could end up dead.”

“Her argument was that Kate is the only person who’s really trying to help Pete kick hard drugs.”

“Jackie told Kate that without her and her arrangements for rehab, her contacts and her caring nature, Pete will sink into total chaos.”

According to the newspaper, Kate responded that she would still help Pete conquer his addictions but just as a friend rather than his girlfriend. She then flew to Dubai for a holiday with her daughter Lila Grace, leaving Pete in rehab in London.
