  • Penélope Cruz has revealed that her first trip to the Academy Awards in 1994 was rather overwhelming. She told Life magazine recently: “I was 19, and I spoke very little English. The only thing I knew how to say was ‘I want to make a movie with Johnny Depp!’ So that’s what I was saying to everyone I saw.” Penélope is nominated for the Best Actress Oscar at this year’s awards.
