  • Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been inspired by her time in rehab to make amends with her father. The two fell out a couple of years ago over dad Michael’s drug and legal problems. He has written her several open letters from prison and a friend of Lindsay’s told Life & Style that the last missive was “such a welcome surprise” for the starlet: “Linds was certainly touched and a little choked up.” The friend added that Lindsay is “thrilled” to be back in touch with her dad but “proceeding with caution”.
  • Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz has claimed the rumours about his love life tend to be exaggerated. Pete has been repeatedly linked to Ashlee Simpson amongst others but he insists nothing romantic is going on. He said recently: “I have Attention Deficit Disorder as far as dating goes. I’ve ended up having good friendships with all these people, but we haven’t really had relationships.”
  • Howard Stern started Valentine’s Day early by proposing to his girlfriend Beth Ostrosky on Tuesday night. Howard told listeners of his Sirius Radio show yesterday that he ordered her to strip naked before presenting her with a 5.2 carat diamond ring and said: “I love you. You’re everything to me. I’m asking you to spend the rest of your life with me.” Last month Howard claimed the couple had already married but later revealed that the story was just a prank.
