Charlotte ChurchCharlotte Church might have won a British Comedy Award for the first series of her chat show but she’s admitted there is still a lot of room for improvement in her presenting technique.

Charlotte has been rewatching the first series of The Charlotte Church Show in preparation for the second series starting next week. She said recently: “When the first show went out, I was really proud. But now I can see I looked a bit unprofessional and some bits just weren’t right.”

“I’m quite harsh with myself in that respect. Mainly because I don’t like watching myself. I always think, ‘You f***ing idiot, what are you doing? What are you making that face for?’ But I think I definitely got better.”

She added that boyfriend Gavin Henson has also been giving her feedback: “Gavin came to all the shows, bless him. He was always honest with me because he can’t be any other way, which is a pain in the arse.”

“After the first show he said, ‘Look, it was really good, but during the interview you’re not listening to what they’re saying’. And he was right. Gavin said, ‘They’ll say something really funny and you just carry on with a different question. You’re not reacting to what they say’.”
