Kate Moss and Pete Doherty being driven by David Tang

  • Proving recent split rumours wrong, Kate Moss and Pete Doherty had a quirky Valentine’s Day dinner at the China Tang restaurant in London’s Dorchester Hotel. Jerry Springer joined them for the meal then China Tang’s owner David Tang drove the couple to a nearby casino in a tiny, yellow Fiat 500.
  • Sharon Osbourne is to have her gastric band removed after seven years. A source close to the family revealed: “Sharon had been told she should have the band taken out a while back. It helped give her a stunning figure but lately she has been in a bit of discomfort with it and doctors told her to have it taken out sooner rather than later.” Sharon had the band inserted in 1999 to help her stop over-eating.
  • Paris Hilton had to ask the US ambassador to Austria, Susan McCaw, to vouch for her after Paris didn’t notice her passport had expired. The heiress is currently in Vienna for the prestigious annual Opera Ball but nearly didn’t make it after being stopped at the airport. McCaw intervened to allow Paris to enter the country but perhaps it would have been better if she hadn’t got in: she was pelted with empty cigarette packets, tissues and fliers at an appearance in a local shopping centre.
