Nicole Richie

  • Nicole Richie has been formally charged with driving under the influence following her December arrest. An arraignment hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday but Nicole is not required to appear in court. She potentially faces jail time, a fine and losing her driving licence as it is her second DUI offence in less than five years.
  • Sex and the City’s Kristin Davis has been linked to former LA Lakers star Rick Fox. They were spotted dining together at Madeo in Beverly Hills and a fellow diner told In Touch Weekly that they “shared bites of each other’s pasta, along with a few kisses.”
  • Ian McKellen has dismissed last Sunday night’s BAFTAs as being “a little downmarket” after failing to attract many stars from outside of the UK. While the likes of Forest Whitaker, Penelope Cruz and Toni Collette put in appearances in addition to British stars such as Helen Mirren, Judi Dench and Thandie Newton, other award winners - including Jennifer Hudson and Litte Miss Sunshine’s Alan Arkin - didn’t attend. Ian also complained about presenter Jonathan Ross being “a bit low key” in comparison to usual presenter Stephen Fry.
