Britney Spears checks in and out of rehab - and shaves her head

Britney Spears reportedly admitted herself into rehab this week - but then checked out again less than 24 hours later.

A source told People magazine that Britney checked into the Crossroads Centre in Antigua “two or three days ago”.

She was reportedly encouraged to seek help by concerned family and friends but refused to stay at the facility, owned by Eric Clapton, and checked herself out again the next day.

The source told People that Britney was headed to Florida after leaving the clinic but TMZ is reporting that she has showed up in Los Angeles - but with a shaved head.

Britney called ahead to a beauty salon on Ventura Blvd in the San Fernando Valley to have the shop opened just for her but a source told Us Weekly that the hairdresser refused to do it. Britney then “grabbed the hair clipper and started doing it herself“.

ABC in Los Angeles is reporting that she then took her new ‘do to the ‘Body and Soul’ tattoo parlour in Sherman Oaks to get a pair of red and pink lips inked onto her right wrist, and a black, white and pink cross on her hip. A member of staff at the studio described her as agitated and a “nightmare” to deal with, saying “I don’t want anyone touching me. I’m tired of everyone touching me.”

She displayed her stubbly head freely within the tattoo parlour but covered up with a hoody for the journey between the shop and her waiting SUV.
