  • Justin Timberlake believes that Britney Spears‘ decision to shave her head was a good thing and not a sign that she’s heading for a breakdown. He admitted surprise that his ex-girlfriend had taken the chop but said: “It was a smart choice. She is starting over, cleaning herself up. She is taking a chance.”
  • Meanwhile Justin’s former NSync bandmate JC Chasez blames Britney’s problems on her divorce. The pair, along with Justin, were in the Mickey Mouse Club together as teenagers and JC told MTV: “This poor girl is in the middle of a divorce! A divorce at 25 is never going to be easy. It’s a [difficult] transition and I genuinely feel bad for her. I mean sure she goes out with a beer and cigarette in her hand and everybody flips out. She is 25, kids! It’s not illegal.”
  • And in related news, Gwen Stefani has revealed she has an urge to mother Britney through her difficult time. She said recently: “I just want to scoop her up and give her a kiss. I hope she’s all right. She’s just had a new baby and stuff. I hope she can just enjoy it because it’s an incredible thing.” Gwen added that Britney “looks good with her hair shaved off”.
