Charlotte Church rescheduled filming to avoid 21st birthday
Charlotte Church refused to record the first episode of the new series of The Charlotte Church Show on Wednesday as scheduled - because it was her 21st birthday.
The show is usually filmed on Wednesday for broadcast on Friday night but Charlotte convinced Channel 4 to record this week’s show on Monday: “Charlotte wanted to enjoy her big day and Channel 4 agreed - just this once. It will go back to being filmed on Wednesday next week.”
But Charlotte didn’t have any big party plans for the day - her spokesperson has said she spent the day at home with her family and boyfriend Gavin Henson. Gavin reportedly bought her a Tiffany necklace to mark the occasion but Charlotte didn’t want anything too extravagant. She said recently: “I’ve told him not to go nuts with my birthday presents because then we start having to outdo each other, which is really time-consuming!”
