Orlando BloomOrlando Bloom has revealed he’s putting his money where his environmentally-friendly mouth is by building a green home in London.

Speaking at Wednesday’s Global Green pre-Oscars event, he said that the house will be “as green as I can make it.”

“It’s got solar panels on the roof, energy efficient light bulbs - newer technology basically that is environmentally friendly.”

He added that small things - like the lightbulbs and unplugging chargers when they’re not in use or not leaving electronic equipment on standby - make all the difference: “It doesn’t have to be overwhelming, there are simple things we can do.”
