  • Hilary Swank has revealed that Oscars night isn’t all its much fun for the top stars. The two-time Best Actress winner revealed: “The key is not to drink at all - as you don’t want to be running to the ladies. You also can’t eat as the dresses are so tight and you spend about five hours walking down the red carpet, doing interviews and sitting through the show.”
  • Despite previous rumours that Elton John is no longer friends with the Beckhams, Victoria Beckham is delighted to be able to attend Elton’s exclusive post-Oscars party this evening. She flew to Los Angeles on Thursday and was overheard on the flight saying: “I’ve never made it to Elton’s Oscars party. But he’s always such a brilliant host and it couldn’t be anything less than amazing.” Victoria is expected to attend with new BFFs Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.
  • Orlando Bloom and Penélope Cruz seem to either be very keen not to fuel the “they’re dating” rumours or they’ve finished their fling after avoiding each other at the Global Green Pre-Oscars party earlier this week. A source at the event told the People newspaper: “Penelope was hanging with her sister while Orlando was in another room.”
