Billie Piper is reportedly planning to marry her boyfriend Laurence Fox after dating for just a couple of months.

The couple met as co-stars in the West End play Treats that opened last week. Both reportedly left their long-term partners to pursue the relationship.

A source close to Laurence’s family told the Sun that the pair will announce their engagement “any day now”: “The Fox family is buzzing with the news that an engagement announcement is imminent. It seems a little sudden but everyone who’s seen them together knows how incredibly in love they are.”

“His family are delighted and think Billie’s smashing.”

The news comes just days after Billie was seen crying in a London cafe and calling ex-husband Chris Evans for a shoulder to cry on. She then had to drop out of the opening night of Treats at the last minute due to illness, prompting pregnancy rumours.

The source added that Laurence has no problem with the fact that Billie is still close to her ex-husband after separating from him two years ago: “Laurence is confident enough about his relationship with Billie not to feel jealous about her discussing her problems with Chris.”
